Snow Days

Olivia played in the snow and was able to enjoy it for the first time ever. Sadly, this may be the last time this winter that she will have snow to play in. BUT, she had a great time, and managed to not get any snow down her snow suit. She was so cute might I add!

Potty Training

THE TIME HAS COME for Olivia to get outta diapers!
If you look at all the internet articles and see so many different methods on how to potty train your kid it is hard to choose one. We have decided to just do what seems right for her. I am having underpants made for her because they don't make them small enough for her. If anyone knows where I could find some that are reasonably prices, please let me know! But even with easy ups she is doing really well.
Day 1:

4 pees in the potty

1 wet/dirty diaper
Day 2:

Woke with dry diaper!

3 pees in the potty

so far only 1 slightly wet diaper from sleeping through church!
As of right now she is recieving praise and rewards of stickers (Tinkerbell of course!) or small pieces of chocolate. She is so proud everytime she uses the potty! I am so proud of my baby! I am not going to rush her but getting out of diapers will definitly be a plus!
UPDATE: Olivia did #2 in her potty! Only potty training for less than 36 hours! So proud!

OLIVIA IS 1!!!

Wow it has been a while!
Things have been busy around here! Olivia just had her first birthday on Oct 14th. It was a great day! We had her party on the 18th so that family and friends would be able to make it.
She had a lot of fun playing with the cards and new gifts! She amazes me everyday with how smart she is getting! She is completely of of baby foods, and is eating what everyone else eats. Right now her favorite thing is anything with tomato sauce (haha). For being a 16.5 lb 1 year old, she can sure eat the baked ziti! She also loves all fruits and veggies (accept peas!). She is getting into everything these days. She is partial to pulling the dvd player off of the entertainment center, and pushing the button to open/close the dvd drive. She has been standing up and dancing in the middle of the living room without anything to hold onto, and she has taken some steps, but is not that keen on walking. She has fallen a few times that have really startled her, so I think I would be apprehensive about it too. She was Tinkerbelle for Halloween.....so stinkin' cute!
The bow business is fun, it has certainly kept me busy! I have 4 more shows between now and Dec 5th. They are a lot of work, but worth it. I had a good time while set up at Oblong Fall Follies this past Saturday, even though we got ate alive by those pinchie beetle things! I have gotten a lot of good feedback from customers. I appreciate all the support from everyone!!
I hope lots of people can make it to the Open House next weekend. If you want to come, all the info is on the Trendy Twirls blog http://tawnystrendytwirls.blogspot.com/

Falling Into Place

Things are finally starting to fall into place here in good ole Newton. Today is Brian and my 5 year wedding anniversary. We have been through a lot in these last 5 years. An 18 month military deployment to Iraq, several months at an Army base in the middle of BFE Mississippi, 4 years at University, graduations, a very long and challenging pregnancy, and the birth of our beautiful daughter, among many other things.

Brian got a job at an Engineering firm in Mattoon and yesterday was his first day. He seemed pretty excited about it when talked about how it went. I am thrilled because I was getting concerned about going a month unemployed, with two houses, two sets of bills, and a depleating savings....but things are finally looking up!

It has been a while!

OK so it has been a while! We have moved to Newton. We live close to the grade school. Olivia is growing like a weed and loving her new house. We have been without internet for over a month! I will be adding some new pictures of Olivia soon!
